70 Kw Solar rooftop net metering Project commissioned for Delta Industry, Mangalore
M/s Delta Industry, was very much concerned with the rising electricity bill of their factory. The average monthly electricity unit consumption was 8,500 to 9,000 units per month amounting to Rs. 66,000 to Rs. 70,000 per month. We Kumble solar energy solutions pvt ltd gave an idea of how to save on electricity unit consumption by installing a solar rooftop net metering plant which in turn will help Delta Industry reduce their monthly electricity bill of their Factory.
Thus we had proposed for a solar plant of 70 Kw which will produce:
- An average of 300 electricity Units per day.
- 9,000 electricity Units per month and 1,08,000 electricity units per year. Presently Industrial tariff is Rs. 7.6 per unit. Based on the net metering system where the electricity units produced from the solar plant will be used for self-consumption and export, here as the electricity bill for the electricity units consumed per month is Rs. 66,000 to Rs. 70,000 per month, 70 Kw solar rooftop net metering plant is sufficing the need of the electricity units for our client. As the electricity units generated from the solar rooftop power plant is used mainly for self-consumption. - Yearly electricity savings in rupees: Rs. 8,40,000.

- Even considering 80% bank loan and 20% down payment @ an average of 10% interest rate Payback period < 3.5 years including Depreciation benefits, Electricity savings. From 4th year onwards our client M/s Delta Industry will be getting free power from the solar plant.
